A DRINK-driver caught on the A40 in Herefordshire while almost twice the limit has been banned from the roads.
Stevie Davies entered a guilty plea to one count of driving while over the alcohol limit when appearing before magistrates in Hereford in July.
The court heard from prosecutor Mark Hambling that the 29-year-old had been caught behind the wheel of a blue Ford Fiesta while over the drink-driving limit on the A40 at Glewstone in Herefordshire on May 19.

An evidential breath test revealed that Davies had 69 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
Davies, of Hazel Terrace, Abercynon, was fined £120 and disqualified from driving for 46 months for the offence, with magistrates saying they had taken the guilty plea into account when imposing the penalty.
Davies was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £135 and a £48 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
