A COUPLE are taking over a popular Herefordshire pub that was temporarily closed, with it set to open as early as next Monday (July 31).
The Full Pitcher in Ledbury was shut while its brewery company, Stonegate, looked for a new manager.
However, last night, Shaun Bartley announced on the Voice of Ledbury Facebook page that him and his partner, Sophie Knight, are taking it on.

"Our job is to bring life back to this beautiful building and serve your community and its visitors with a vibrant but non pretentious menu along with a great selection of ales larger and of course Westons Cider," said Mr Bartley.
"We will be serving an all day breakfast with takeaway option along with freshly ground coffee to go.
"Sophie and I really believe in pubs being pubs and offering something for everyone, ultimately it's your pub so tell us what you want. Is it music, sports or maybe games?

"We have a large outdoor area to play with so lets use it. We want to hear any and all ideas you may have."
Mr Bartley added that the couple are looking for staff as soon as possible and are happy to accept applications from school leavers looking for a start in hospitality and thinking of an apprenticeship in bar management or in the kitchen.
"We are hoping to be open this coming Monday with full service ready for the Friday," said Mr Bartley.
"Socials are being put together asap. We will update you over the next few days. Can't wait to meet you all."
