MORE Herefordshire speeders have been fined by magistrates after they were caught breaking the limit.

Richard Beverley Gammond was proven guilty by magistrates in Llanelli.

The court heard that the 46-year-old had been caught breaking the limit while behind the wheel of a Landrover in a 30 miles per hour zone on the B4356 at Whitton on December 11.

Gammond, of Ambleside Drive, Hereford, was fined £440 and received five penalty points. He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £90 and a £176 victim surcharge.

Michelle Purkis entered a guilty plea to magistrates in Cheltenham.

The court heard that the 59-year-old Citroen Nemo driver had been caught speeding in a 60 miles per hour zone on the A40 in Gloucestershire on October 11.

Purkis, of Lea, Ross-on-Wye, was fined £120 and received three penalty points. She was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £90 and a £48 victim surcharge.

Michael Foley entered a guilty plea to magistrates in Birmingham.

The court heard that the 61-year-old had been caught breaking the limit while behind the wheel of a Ford in a 60 miles per hour speed limit on the M42 motorway in Birmingham on November 4.

Foley, of Herberts Hill, Llangarron, was fined £123 and received three penalty points. He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £95 and a £49 victim surcharge.
