David James Jewellery in Bromyard's High Street closed this summer as the owners embarked on their retirement.

The three-storey property is now on the market with agents Barry Bufton for offers in the region of £169,950.

The agents said the property has a weath of exposed oak framing, mains gas central heating, and an attractive rear garden. 

The grade II listed shop and residential premises is in the middle of Bromyard, with the ground floor, which has features including a front display window, exposed timbers, Victorian fireplace surround, and trap door to the cellar, currently used as a shop premises.

There is also a store room with work surfaces and cupboard units as well as a sink and further plumbing for a washing machine, while access to the garden is from the ground floor of the property. 

Upstairs is a landing, kitchen and dining room, sitting room, bathroom, and bedroom, with further period features including an old oak staircase, exposed beams, and fireplaces.

The agents said the the property's slate roof was stripped in 2021, felted, battened and the original slates plus some new Welsh slates re-laid. Two flat roofs at the premises were also refelted in 2000, they said.
