A MAN who harassed a woman in Herefordshire has been jailed after failing to turn up to probation appointments.
Jonathan Robert Parsons was convicted of one count of failing to comply with the requirements of a suspended sentence when he appeared before magistrates in Birmingham in July.

The court heard from the probation service that the 32-year-old had been handed a suspended sentence by magistrates in Birmingham on February 28, 2022, after he was convicted of harassing a woman in Bromyard, by repeatedly sending her text messages and turning up at her address in May 2020, and failing to surrender to Hereford magistrates court in February 2022, having been released on bail in criminal proceedings.
But, magistrates were told, Parsons had failed to comply with his probation requirements by failing to attend appointments on August 24 and September 8. He had then failed to provide the required evidence to reasonable excuse his absence within the specified time limit.
The suspended sentence was activated Parsons, of Findon Road, Ward End, Birmingham, was jailed for eight weeks.
