A THIEF who harassed a woman has been jailed after being told that he has 'no realistic prospect of rehabilitation'.
Luke Fenn entered a guilty plea to one count of harassment by breach of a restraining order, one count of breaching a criminal behaviour order, and one count of theft from a shop when he appeared before magistrates in Kidderminster in July.
The court heard from prosecutor Mark Hambling that the 34-year-old had been made subject to a restraining order by magistrates in Kidderminster on July 18, banning him from contacting a woman in Herefordshire.
But he had, without reasonable excuse, contacted the woman protected by the order the very next day, on July 19, calling her on numerous occasions in breach of the order.

He had also been made subject to a criminal behaviour order banning him from entering the Coop supermarket in Leominster's Dishley Street in July 2022, the court heard, but had breached that order on July 18 this year to enter the supermarket and steal a bottle of champagne, a pack of four Strongbow Dark Fruits ciders, and a gift set, worth a total of £45.25.
Magistrates said they had taken the guilty plea into account, but that the offences were so serious that only a custodial sentence could be justified as they were committed within hours of a community order being imposed, as he had breached two court orders, due to his previous record and failure to engage with probation, and as there is no realistic prospect of rehabilitation.
Fenn, who is of no fixed address, was jailed for 20 weeks and ordered to pay compensation of £45.25 to Coop.
