A FUNDRAISER has been set up to help cover the funeral costs of Hereford's Sean Day, who is believed to have lost his life in the river Wye.
Police confirmed last night (Wednesday) that a body believed to have been Mr Day's was found in the water.
Officers were initially called to the river at around 12.05am on July 29 after receiving reports that Mr Day had fallen into the river near the Castle Green Pavilion.
Three men, aged 34, 28 and 24, were arrested when new information was received that Mr Day had allegedly been involved in an altercation, with police appealing for anyone who was in the Quay Street or Castle Green area of Hereford between 10.30pm on July 28 and 12.30am the following to get in touch.

Police said on August 2 they had all ll been released on police bail while detectives continue to investigate what had happened.
A week later, police confirmed a body had been found, with officers, firefighters and search and rescue teams all at the riverside on the Hinton side of the water, near Victoria Bridge.
Formal identification has yet to take place, however Mr Day's family have been informed.
The news has shocked and saddened many people, not only in the city, but wider afield.

Earlier today (Thursday), Quade Thomas and Dale Woodward have set up on a GoFundMe page to help give Mr Day the funeral and send off he deserved.
They add that any proceeds over £5,000 will go straight to Mr Day's son, Harley.
The page reads: "As everyone across England have been shocked and saddened by the news we have all heard of Sean’s life being cut to short we have set up this go fund me page to give Sean the funeral and send off he deserve.
"We’d appreciate any contribution to make this happen for him and his family and friends, any proceeds over the £5000 will go straight to Harley Day (Sean’s son).
Thank you all so much from the bottom of all our heart. Love Quade and Dale Woodward."
So, far nearly £1,000 has been raised.
