A SPEEDER has escaped a roads ban after he was caught breaking the limit by Herefordshire's only permanent speed camera.
David John Prosser was proven guilty of one count of exceeding a 30 miles per hour limit by magistrates in Hereford in July.
The court heard that the 78-year-old had been caught breaking the limit while behind the wheel of a Mercedes in a 30 miles per hour zone on the A465 Belmont Road in Hereford on July 5.

He had been clocked speeding by an automatic camera device, the court heard.
Prosser, of Hilcot Close, Quedgeley, was fined £106, received three penalty points, and was ordered to pay costs of £90 and a £42 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
No totting disqualification was made as, magistrates said, a roads ban would cause exceptional hardship for family members he visits daily and takes shopping and to appointments.
