A TEENAGER has been banned from the roads after he was caught out on an electric scooter while over the drug-driving limit.
Rio Young entered a guilty plea to one count of driving while over the drug limit when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford in August.
The court heard from prosecutor Tom Wickstead that the 18-year-old had been caught out riding an electric scooter in Hereford's Three Elms Road while over the drug limit on February 13.

An evidential blood test revealed that he had seven microgrammes of controlled class B drug cannabis product delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol per litre of blood. The legal limit is two microgrammes.
Young, of Old School Lane, Hereford, was fined £120 and disqualified from driving for 12 months for the offence, with magistrates saying they had taken his guilty plea into account when coming to their decision.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £135 and a £48 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
