IN the Hereford Times I read that some people have complained about how Hereford has changed (Letters, July 27).
I do not agree. Hereford is not “abused, littered and congested” as it was described in a reader’s letter last week.

I’m German and have been visiting Hereford annually as a tourist for nine years, staying longer than a week at a time.

Of course, shops have changed. But you have this all over the world. Hereford has a lovely city centre with many lovingly designed shops and a large selection of goods and local groceries. Many pubs with local beer and cider round this up.
What defines Hereford for me are the helpful and friendly people.
