WE have all heard, sadly, about the shocking crimes of a woman from Hereford, some of which might have been prevented had NHS managers paid more heed to concerns expressed by consultants. In that context, my point is minor, but still illustrates inefficiencies in the NHS.
Along with millions of others, I have been on an NHS waiting list for some time.
My appointment has just come through. It turns out that I have to see two different practitioners at Hereford County Hospital, and these appointments have very sensibly been scheduled 20 minutes apart.
Less sensibly, however, they didn't notify me by email although they have my email address. Nor did they send a single letter dealing with both appointments.

You can send a letter to the editor to have your say by clicking here.
Letters should not exceed 250 words and local issues take precedence.

Instead they send me two letters, which were posted to me in separate envelopes.
