Plans have been put forward for up to seven new houses beside a Herefordshire village.
An outline planning application by a Mrs J Davies shows these would be on half a hectare of what is currently a field immediately north of Almeley near Kington.
The site is allocated for housing in the village’s neighbourhood development plan. A public footpath across the field would be retained.
A new entrance onto the C1080 road which runs north from Almeley towards Lyonshall would be created, requiring the removal of a section of hedgerow.

An attenuation pond would be created at the lowest, southeast corner of the sloping site, and there would be “additional green infrastructure throughout the scheme”, the application says.
Details of the houses themselves, including their layout and the number of bedrooms in each, would follow in a separate application if the outline plan is approved.
According to the application, “there is the potential to provide two- and three-bed dwellings which will respond to an identified need in the housing market area”.
Comments on the application, numbered 232485, can be made until September 28.
