A HEREFORDSHIRE pub promises a busy programme of events for the rest of the year.

The Royal Oak in Much Marcle has a full calendar for the rest of the year, boasting a wide array of cultural as well as more traditional pub events.

The agenda kicks off on Saturday, September 16 with Linda Mathews’ drag queen cabaret night.

This is followed by a ‘bonkers’ bingo night on September 23, featuring silly gifts and cash prizes, with tickets costing £10 per person.

There will be two comics performing at the stand-up comedy night on Saturday, October 7, which also costs £10.

Elsewhere, the Debbie Parry band will be covering songs across many genres, from Led Zepplin to Dusty Springfield, on Friday, October 13.

The pub will finish the season with two more drag queen cabaret nights. Anett Curtain will be performing on Saturday, November 18 and Fanny Burns appearing on Saturday, February 2.

There will also be monthly themed quiz nights on the first Friday each month, a paint club running on the second Friday of every month and frequent food pop-ups including local vendors such as the Beefy Boys.

Hannah Slade, who runs the pub, said: “The events offer a safe and secure environment for those in the LGBTQ+ community and a fabulous night out for everyone over the age of 18. It’s not for the faint-hearted or easily-offended.

"But it will be held in the function room with music before and after the show for anyone that needs a really good night out full of fun and laughter."
