THE dates for this year’s Christmas markets in Hereford have been revealed.
As summer comes to an end, Hereford and the county at large is starting to gear up for a busy autumn and winter season.
Christmas festivities are set to take place in Hereford’s High Town every Thursday and Friday during the three weeks leading up to December 25. Each market will have up to 30 stalls, offering mainly local crafts, accessories and unique gifts. Traders are still being invited to apply for places this year.
The markets will be held on the following days:
Thursday, December 7
Friday, December 8
Thursday, December 14
Friday, December 15
Thursday, December 21
Friday, December 22
Christmas markets have also been confirmed for two of Herefordshire’s larger towns.
Ross-on-Wye will be holding its Christmas Fayre in the town centre from 11am to 5pm on Sunday, November 26 and will host around 70 stalls selling handmade arts and crafts as well as artisan food and drinks. Currently there are no stalls available, with all the slots being sold out.
Despite the initial threat of cancellation, Leominster’s Victorian Christmas market will be going ahead this year. Rather than taking up its usual space in Corn Square and Broad Street, it will instead be a multi-location event, as opposed to a traditional street market, with stalls located in the Leominster sports and social club, Grange Court, the Rankin Club and the Lion Ballroom. It will be held on December 9, with stalls costing £15.
