A DRINK-driver caught out in a busy Herefordshire street has been banned from the roads for three years.
Nelson Smith entered a guilty plea to one count of driving while over the alcohol limit when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford in September.
The court heard from prosecutor Thomas Wickstead that the 67-year-old, who was represented at the hearing by defence solicitor Chris Read, had been caught out in The Homend in Ledbury after getting behind the wheel of a black Ford Kuga on July 21.

An evidential breath test revealed that he had 40 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
Smith, of Tinkers Corner, Bosbury, was fined £120 and disqualified from driving for 36 months.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of 135 and a £48 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
