A KNIFE has been ordered to be destroyed after it was found in the possession of a man in Hereford.
Mark Hanson appeared before magistrates in Hereford for sentencing in September after he was found guilty of one count of possessing a knife blade or a sharp pointed article in a public place at an earlier hearing.
He had previously entered a not guilty plea to the charge.

The court heard from prosecutor Mark Hambling that the 35-year-old had been in possession of a blade or sharply pointed article, namely a table knife, without good reason or lawful authority at Hedley Lodge in Belmont, Hereford, on February 17.
Hanson, of Belmont Road, Hereford, was handed a 12-month community order and fined £50 for the offence, while the knife was ordered to be forfeited and destroyed.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £100 and a £114 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
