MAY I congratulate the extremely useful person who goes around marking potholes with white paint, so that drivers can see them and avoid them.
It must be very long-lasting white paint, as the paint (and the potholes) can stay visible for months.

However, would it not be a better plan just to fill in the potholes, and to use the (obviously very expensive) white paint, as it is not being used for road markings anywhere, where they are needed, to mark the centre and sidelines of the roads, especially with poor light and winter coming on.
I suppose the alternative could be to plant a tree in every pothole; this could be a really good source of fuel in 30 years.
