A HEREFORD family are devastated after their teenage son died at the age of just 18.

Sebastian Farmer was, along with his twin sister Charlotte, born nine weeks early. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with hyperplastic left heart syndrome where the left heart was underdeveloped. This meant he had weak lungs and he also had slight cerebral palsy and was on the spectrum of autism. 

"He was the most loving and outgoing and caring boy you could ever meet," said Sebastian's father, Tom.

"He never asked for anything and always wanted simple things in life.

"He also suffered from learning disabilities but had the most wonderful personality you could have ever imagine. In his life, he enjoyed watching rugby and loved going out as a family to places and loved watching me dance.

"He loved singing dancing and musicals. He was so loyal and would never hurt anyone."

Mr Farmer added that that his son had three open heart surgeries and had recently become ill.

"The first week, he was discharged twice from hospital and then on the Monday morning he went back in with breathing problems only to have an appendix operation," he said.

"He has been fighting for his life all week to recover, it was the first big operation he had since his last heart surgery in 2010.

"However, his lungs and heart just couldn’t recover and he passed away very sadly on Friday, September 15 in the afternoon."

Sebasttian's family are now fundraising to help cover his funeral.
