A THIEF stole hundreds of pounds worth of goods and attacked people in Hereford, a court has heard.
Andrew Grubb entered guilty pleas to three counts of theft from a shop, and three counts of assault by beating when he appeared before magistrates in Kidderminster in September.
The court heard from prosecutor Sarah Khan-Lodhi that Grubb had stolen chocolates worth £24 from WH Smiths in Hereford on July 15, alcohol and meat worth £46.90 from Tesco in Hereford's Bewell Street on July 26, and clothing worth £270 from JD Sports in Hereford's Commercial Street on July 10.

The 62-year-old, who was represented at the hearing by defence solicitor Jo Outhwaite, had also assaulted a man and a woman by beating in Hereford on July 26, and assaulted a woman by beating in Hereford on July 10, the magistrates were told.
The case was adjourned for a pre-sentencing report to be carried out by the probation service and Grubb, of Katherines Walk, Ledbury, was released on unconditional bail.
He will appear before magistrates in Hereford for sentencing on October 10.
