A MAN caught with almost a kilo of cannabis in Hereford has been sentenced by a court.
Matthew Bauress appeared before magistrates in Hereford for sentencing in September after entering guilty pleas to one count of producing a controlled class B drug and one count of possessing a controlled class B drug.
The court heard from prosecutor Mark Hambling that the 28-year-old , who was represented at the hearing by defence solicitor Rajesh Bassi, had produced a quantity of controlled class B drug cannabis in Hereford on September 24, 2021.

He had also been in possession of 923 grams of cannabis in Hereford on the same date, magistrates were told.
Bauress, of Hampton Rise, Hereford, was handed a 12-month community order and fined £100, with magistrates saying they had taken his guilty pleas into account when imposing the penalty.
He must also pay prosecution costs of £185 and a £95 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
The seized drugs and paraphernalia were ordered to be forfeited and destroyed.
