REFUGEES will be sharing their traditional cuisine in Hereford tonight (September 29)
A pop-up Afghan restaurant will be hosted at De Koffie Pot in Left Bank Village.
All the food, including koftas and baklava, will be cooked and served by Afghan women who currently live in the area, having fled their country in 2021.

The event will not only showcase the culinary skills of the women and their unique cuisine, but it will also be a career opportunity for those involved, with the Left Bank hoping to employ a number of the group to cook regularly on a Saturday.
Proceeds from the night will go towards Hereford City of Sanctuary, which works to improve the lives of local refugees and migrants.
A spokesperson for the organisation said: “This is an opportunity for those who have cooking skills, but perhaps little English to gain employment, build confidence and skills, and learn English.”
Tickets for the evening quickly sold out.
