AS David Lloyd says about Kingsland planning (Letters, September 21), I would say the rule book got ripped up after Covid when council and planning staff did not returned to the office to do some proper work.

Letters should not exceed 250 words and local issues take precedence.
People in Winforton have been waiting months and months for a decision on the application by the Sun Inn [proposed development of one detached property at the rear of The Sun Inn, with private access], getting told a decision is coming but nothing.
Then suddenly plans have been changed and passed with dates changed and no time to respond.
No changes to all the objections, neighbourhood development already exceeded.
Seems it is about face fitting, friends in high places, or something else?
