Speaking on October 4, members of the Leominster Rotary Club said they were outraged by the treatment of the asylum seekers.
“Members of Leominster Rotary were informed at their meeting on Tuesday evening that the day previously the asylum seeker families housed in the old Talbot Hotel had been forced to leave and moved to Lincolnshire at extremely short notice,” a spokesperson said.
“Members expressed their outrage that this situation had been allowed to happen and called upon local MP, Sir Bill Wiggin, to contact Home Secretary Suella Braverman to investigate how it is that families and their children had been subject to this action to the detriment of their well-being and education.”
“The club, along with other local groups, were keen to help the families settle within the Leominster community.”
