The court heard from the prosecutor that the 73-year-old had been caught breaking the limit while behind the wheel of a Citroen in a 50 miles per hour zone on the A40 at Pencraig in Herefordshire on December 21.
Martin-Hall, of Waverton Avenue in Prenton, Merseyside, was fined £41, received three penalty points, and was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months, with magistrates saying they had taken his guilty plea into account, but that a roads ban was obligatory due to repeat offending.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £110 and a £16 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
