A HEREFORDSHIRE school is closed today after a power failure.
Lady Hawkins High School said this morning that it is closed for the day on October 11 due to having no electricity.
The comprehensive school is based in Kington, Herefordshire, and caters for pupils aged 11 to 16.

National Grid said they are aware of a power cut in the Kington area this morning, after it was reported at 6.39am.
Engineers are working to get the power restored, and it is estimated that supplies will be back in action by 11am.
National Grid said 207 properties in the HR5 area are without power this morning, due to a high voltage incident.
Some 1,600 homes were initially without power in the area this morning after a fault occurred within the overhead network.
UPDATE: National Grid confirmed that power has been restored in the Kington area at 8.56am this morning.
