THERE have been a number of shop closures over the years in Hereford.
Many will remember shops such as Goldings and Hardings, and many I am sure will remember going to Wilsons for their seeds, which used to be loose in drawers.
For the angler, there was Hattons and Fred Perkins. Hattons was the place to purchase your salmon tackle and Perkins for your course tackle.

Most recently, we have lost Wilko, which will be missed by many gardeners.
The only shop that has stood the test of time is Philip Morris and Son, founded in 1845 as an ironmongers and today selling everything from country clothing to cookware.
