AN ATTACKER has been ordered to undergo alcohol dependency treatment after assaulting a police officer at Hereford station.
Kiya Leanne Brandrick appeared before magistrates in Kidderminster for sentencing in September after entering a guilty plea to one count of racially or religiously aggravated assault and one count of failing to comply with the requirements of a community order.
The court heard from the prosecutor that the 35-year-old had assaulted a police officer in a racially aggravated incident at Hereford Railway Station on December 23, 2022.

She had also failed without reasonable excuse to comply with the terms of a community order imposed by magistrates in Worcester in June last year for an offence of racially aggravated assault by committing a further offence, the magistrates were told.
The original community order was revoked and Brandrick, of Austin Road, Bromsgrove, was handed a 12-month community order with a six-month alcohol dependency treatment requirement.
She was also fined £200 and ordered to pay prosecution costs of £135 and a £114 victim surcharge.
