The court heard from prosecutor Mark Hambling that the 20-year-old, who was represented at the hearing by defence solicitor Matt Lewis, had been caught out in Hereford's Quarry Road after getting behind the wheel of a Mazda 2 while over the drink-driving limit on August 25.
An evidential breath test revealed he had 96 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
Slavin, of Arrowsmith Avenue, Bartestree, was disqualified from driving for 24 months and fined £300 for the offence, with magistrates saying they had taken his guilty plea into account when coming to their decision.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £135 and a £120 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
