THE hunt is on for the owner of a quad bike seized after it was spotted being ridden around a Herefordshire town.
The bike was seen being ridden in Bromyard by a plainclothes officer on October 9, a Bromyard Safer Neighbourhood Team spokesperson said at the time.
The team had received reports of the bike being illegally ridden in the town in recent days and already knew who was responsible, the spokesperson said, waiting for him to return home so he could be stopped safely.

The quad bike was seized as the rider did not have a licence or insurance, while the rider was also issued with a Section 59 warning notice under the Police Reform Act 2002.
But police have now confirmed that they suspect the quad bike may be stolen after a vehicle examination.
Officers are asking anyone who may have any information about the quad, or who may be able to identify the owners, to contact them using the online ‘Tell Us About’ form on www.westmercia.police.uk quoting incident reference 00476 i 09102023.
If you aren’t comfortable contacting us directly, you can pass on information anonymously to the independent charity, Crimestoppers, by calling 0800 555 111 or by visiting their website: www.crimestoppers-uk.org
The person from whom the bike was seized is not a suspect in this matter, said Bromyard's PC Michael Hoare.
