A HEREFORDSHIRE school has paid tribute to its headmaster, who has died.
Lucton School say that David Bicker-Caarten was a much loved headteacher, and they are devastated by his passing.
A school statement reads: "Words will never be enough to express the loss and heartbreak of the passing of our beloved headteacher, Mr David Bicker-Caarten.

"The entire school community is coming to terms with the death of our popular and hugely respected headmaster. We will all miss him dearly and our hearts and thoughts are with his family.
"David loved Lucton, and was immensely proud of all students and staff.
"During his time as headmaster, he founded a refined ethos of kindness, honesty and hard-work.
"Let’s make him proud."
