A HEREFORDSHIRE pub is only able to serve its carveries today (Saturday, October 21), after issues in its kitchen forced it to temporarily ditch its main menu.

The Full Pitcher in Ledbury, which is known for its carveries, said that a problem with the fan in its kitchen meant it had no access to gas.

A spokesperson said: "We don't have gas in the kitchen. Luckily our main oven is electric so we can serve carveries, but no gas to cook chips and no griddle to serve steaks!

"It's hopefully getting fixed today. An engineer is attending this afternoon so fingers crossed he can fix the problem."

The Full Pitcher is renowned for its roast dinners, with customers able to choose between beef, honey roast gammon and pork, or a combination. This is served with all the trimmings including roast potatoes, stuffing, veg and gravy.

Vegetarian and vegan options are also available, along with a children's menu.

The Full Pitcher was taken over recently by Andy Hoyle and Jacqui Burns, who used to run the Royal Oak in Much Birch and the Robin Hood in Monmouth. Before the new ownership, it had been closed for a number of months with Stonegate looking for new tenants to take it on.
