AN ELDERLY man was seriously hurt after being attacked by a dog in Hereford.
Emergency services were called to the playing fields off Westfaling Street shortly before 10am last Thursday (October 19) after receiving reports that a man had been bitten by a dog.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "One ambulance and a paramedic officer attended the scene.

"Upon arrival, we found an elderly man with serious injuries that were not life-threatening.
"He received treatment from ambulance staff at the scene and was conveyed to Hereford County Hospital for further treatment.”
Police also attended the dog was seized. It is now being housed in secured kennels while enquiries continue.
