A NEW Greggs has opened in Hereford this morning (October 24).
The bakery chain has taken over Phantom House in Rotherwas and will be serving locals their signature selection of bakes, pastries, sausage rolls and more.

The shop has a small outdoor seating area and options to sit down and eat not only in the main foyer but also in a dedicated dining room with five tables.
The spacious location is kitted out with a large kitchen, fridges containing food-to-go, digital screens and a ramp for accessibility.
The two-storey office building used to be occupied by radio products supplier Kinetic 6.
Greggs previously sought a certificate of lawful development covering its planned new use for the building, avoiding the need to apply for full planning permission for the change.
A letter to Herefordshire Council from the company’s agent stressed that it would be essentially a shop rather than a takeaway hot food restaurant, so would remain in the same "use class" for planning purposes.
Greggs already has two outlets in the city centre, in Broad Street and Commercial Street respectively.
