DRIVERS are facing a lengthy journey home in Hereford this afternoon.
Heavy traffic has left parts of the city gridlocked, with all major routes very busy at rush hour.
There is heavy traffic on roads including the A49, A438, Roman Road, and A465, with the situation not helped by a broken down bus on the Asda roundabout earlier this afternoon.
Heavy traffic is nothing new for most Herefordians, but the situation seems particularly bad this afternoon (October 25).

Traffic monitoring site Inrix said there are delays of 15 minutes on Whitecross Road and Holmer Road, slow traffic on Edgar Street, and queuing traffic on Greyfriars Bridge.
Hereford Times reporter Paul Rogers, who has been out and about in the city this afternoon, said every approach in Hereford appears to be gridlocked at present, with traffic stretching back to Rotherwas and Aylestone.
Google Maps traffic data shows traffic is also very slow heading into the city as far out as Huntington Lane, off Kings Acre Road, and near Lower Lyde, off the A49.
