A THIEF who stole from several Hereford shops and attacked three people has been sentenced by magistrates.
Andrew Grubb entered guilty pleas to three counts of theft from a shop and three counts of assault by beating when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford in October.

The court heard from prosecutor Eleanor Peart that the 62-year-old had stolen alcohol and meat products worth £46.90 from Tesco in Bewell Street on July 26, chocolates worth £24 from WH Smith in Hereford on July 15, and clothes worth £270 from JD Sports in Hereford on July 10.
He had also assaulted a man and a woman by beating in Hereford on July 26, and another woman in Hereford on July 10.
Grubb, of Katherines Walk, Ledbury, was handed a community order and must pay compensation of £46.90 to Tesco, £24 to WH Smith, and £50 to each of the assault victims. He was also fined £10.
