A HEREFORDSHIRE pub has been crowned as one of the best in the world.

The Pandy Inn, Dorstone, which claims to be the oldest pub in the county, has recently won a Tripadvisor Traveller’s Choice award. It means it is within the top 10 per cent of properties on the website.

The pub has a 4.5 out of 5 rating on the website, with 231 of 244 reviewers saying it was ‘excellent or ‘very good’. It is ranked as the number one restaurant in the village.

“I had the nut roast, it was absolutely delicious and the vegetables, were so fresh and tasty. My other half had the roast pork, which he thoroughly enjoyed. And we had an extra jug of gravy without having to request it.

“So pleased with our first visit. We cannot recommend this place enough. Such wonderful staff, nothing was too much trouble and a very, very happy dining experience.”
