FIREFIGHTERS were called to rescue a woman and three children who were trapped in a lift in Hereford this afternoon (Tuesday, October 31).

A crew from Hereford Fire Station was called to Tesco in the city's Bewell Street at 1.19pm.
The Hereford Times understands that the lift in Tesco was blocked off with a sign reading "Not in use" this afternoon.
A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crew from Hereford Fire Station was called at 1.19pm on October 31 from a lift in Bewell Street, Hereford.
"A woman and three children were rescued from the lift by fire service personnel with the incident marked as pending closure at 1.30pm."
