A MERCEDES driver has been banned from the roads after she was caught drink-driving in Hereford.
Rhian Haines entered a guilty plea to one count of driving a motor vehicle while over the alcohol limit when she appeared before magistrates in Hereford in October.
The court heard from prosecutor Mark Hambling that the 24-year-old had been caught drink-driving in Hereford's Commercial Road after getting behind the wheel of a white Mercedes A Class on September 7.

An evidential breath test revealed that Haines, who was represented at the hearing by defence solicitor Marilena Di Vitantonio, had 53 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
Haines, of Moreland Avenue, Hereford, was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £250, with magistrates saying they had taken her guilty plea into account when imposing the penalty.
She was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £135 and a £100 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
