A HEREFORDSHIRE hotel has won an international award.

The Pilgrim Hotel in Much Birch has recently won a Tripadvisor Traveller’s Choice award. It means it is within the top 10 per cent of properties on the website.

The establishment has a 4.5 out of 5 rating on the website, with 985 of 1,111 reviewers saying it was ‘excellent or ‘very good’. It is also ranked as the seventh best ranked and ninth-best value accommodation out of the 381 places to stay in Herefordshire listed on the site.

One reviewer said: “Our family had a lovely weekend catching up with friends at the hotel and visiting the local area.

“Fantastic bar and restaurant staff over the weekend, couldn’t do enough for us. The curry is not to be missed, especially the onion bhaji and naan bread.

“It says more about the staff when they give great service and recommend perfect local attractions for a family.

“Family room was everything you wanted, plus great views.

“We are going to be back and bringing more family next time. Thank you staff.”
