A TRANSIT van driver caught committing an offence on a busy Hereford main road has been banned from the roads for repeat offending.
Jack Sims was proven guilty of one count of using a handheld mobile phone or device while driving a motor vehicle on a road by magistrates in Worcester in October.

The court heard from the prosecutor that the 29-year-old had been caught using a handheld mobile phone while behind the wheel of a Ford Transit van in Hereford's Belmont Road on March 7.
Sims, of Hylidae Road, Hereford, was fined £220, received six penalty points on his licence, and was disqualified from driving for six months, with magistrates saying a roads ban was obligatory due to repeat offending.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £90 and an £88 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
