A SEX offender has been back up before the magistrates after failing to comply with court-ordered requirements.
Steven Kemeys entered a guilty plea to one count of failing to comply with sex offenders register notification requirements when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford in November.
Kemeys had been put on the register and ordered to report to Hereford police station for five years at a previous hearing in 2022 after admitting sexually touching a woman without her consent and without reasonably believing she was consenting.
But, the court heard from prosecutor Mark Hambling, the 46-year-old had failed without reasonable excuse to comply with his notification requirements between June 16 and July 4, by failing to register with police every seven days while of no fixed address.
Kemeys, of no fixed address, was fined £80 for the offence, with magistrates saying that they had taken his guilty plea into account when imposing the penalty.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £135.
