POLICE have confirmed why they were called to The Oval in Hereford on Saturday night.
Officers were seen in the area, off Belmont Road, during the evening.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson has confirmed that officers were called to the scene at 8.10pm on Saturday evening (November 11).
They had received a report of someone being assaulted at The Oval's Premier shop, the spokesperson said.
Investigations into the assault are now on going.
