A STALKER who repeatedly called and texted a woman and turned up at her home has been ordered to undergo alcohol treatment.
Wayne Tipping entered a guilty plea to one count of stalking without fear, alarm, or distress when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford in November.
The court heard from prosecutor Mark Hambling that the 49-year-old had pursued a course of conduct which amounted to the stalking of a woman, and which he knew or ought to have known amounted to the harassment of her in Hereford between August 1 and September 4.

Mr Hambling said Tipping, who was represented at the hearing by defence solicitor George Cousins, had attended her home address unannounced and repeatedly called and texted her.
Tipping, of Commercial Road, Hereford, was handed a 12-month community order, fined £40, and ordered to undergo a three-month alcohol treatment programme.
He was also handed a 12-month restraining order banning him from contacting the victim or attending her address, and must pay a £114 victim surcharge.
