MORE than £1,400 has been raised after a body was found in the search for a man reported missing in October.
A search was launched for Christopher Jiggins after he disappeared from Church Stretton, over the border in Shropshire.
He was last seen at 7pm on Sunday, October 29 outside the Family Shopper in the town, with police embarking on a country-wide search for him.
West Mercia Police confirmed on November 15 that a body had been found in the search for the 56-year-old, who was last seen wearing camouflage clothing, shorts and boots was known for wearing a hessian cape, in woodland near Church Stretton.
A GoFundMe appeal has now been launched by family members to raise funds to give Mr Jiggins a proper send off.
In a message on the platform, Mr Jiggins' nephew said he was hoping to make his uncle's send-off a day to remember and one he deserves.
More than £1,400 has already been raised of the £3,000 target.
