One reviewer said: “This is very much a pub at the heart of a rural community. Lovely village Green opposite with croquet pitches - a rare sight
“We booked following good reviews on here and when we realised that they had a chef in on Friday and Saturday we hoped for a good meal.
“We have paid twice as much in the past for nowhere near as well made, presented, and delicious food.

“Our starters were courgette and mozzarella cannelloni and salmon gravadlax, both 10/10.
“Main courses were grilled mixed fish and a Katsura curry with sticky rice and kimchi pickled vegetables.
“Unbelievably good tastes, portion size, presentation and service.
“We live 3 hours away but I can see us planning a repeat trip just for this secret gem of culinary delight.
“Bonne cuisine, merveilleux, merci.”
