HEREFORD'S iconic pub the Lichfield Vaults is enjoying a momentous milestone this year, as landlord Andy Loizou celebrates 15 years at the pub.
During his time at the historic Church Street pub, he has survived Covid, the cost-of-living crisis and alcohol price increases that have brought challenges, but has remained connected to the community in Hereford.
Nestled in Hereford's beautiful Church Street near the Cathedral, the Lichfield Vaults is one of Hereford's most loved pubs.
It is a traditional pub oozing with character, offering home-cooked food, a fine selection of beers and ales, live music and televised sport.

Mr Loizou has been the landlord since 2008. Celebrating 15 years behind the bar, he said: "I would like to say that my years at the Lichfield Vaults have been one of the most special periods of my life.
"My family and I feel privileged and humbled by the friendship and warmth we have received from my customers.
"The pub has an age group ranging from 18 to 80 and it's been my job to guide the younger group and listen to the older group so that I may learn from their experiences. That's my job and I love it.
"I have formed a special bond with our cathedral. My son from the age of eight was educated at the Cathedral School. In fact, he is now 23 years old and just finished an opera tour."
