A HEREFORDSHIRE school has held a memorial for a much-loved headteacher after his death.
David Bicker-Caarten, headteacher at Lucton School from 2011 to 2023, died on October 14.
Mr Bicker-Caarten was fondly remembered by children and staff at a Lucton School service on November 24.
"Lucton has celebrated the life of headmaster Mr David Bicker-Caarten," said a spokesperson for the school. "The children and staff marked the occasion with poise and dignity, sharing readings, poems, hymns and memories."

After his death, the school had been devastated. A statement from Lucton said: "Words will never express the loss and heartbreak of passing of our beloved headteacher, Mr David Bicker-Caarten.
"The entire school is coming to terms with the death of our popular and respected headmaster. We miss him dearly and our hearts are with his family.
"He was immensely proud of all students and staff. He founded a refined ethos of kindness, honesty and hard-work."
