A STALKER has been remanded in custody after repeatedly contacting a woman, sending her gifts, and making threats against her family.

Conrad Pritchard entered a guilty plea to one count of stalking involving serious alarm or distress when he appeared before magistrates in Kidderminster in November.

The court heard from prosecutor Lisa Morris-Jones that the 62-year-old had pursued a course of conduct which amounted to the stalking of a woman, which caused her serious alarm or distress and which had a substantial adverse effect on her usual day-to-day activities when he knew or ought to have known the effect his behaviour would have.

This had included repeated unwanted contact, the sending of unwanted gifts, threats against family and friends and attendance at her place of work between January 1, 2021, and November 22, 2023.

The case was adjourned for a pre-sentencing report to be carried out by the probation service and Pritchard, of Underhill Road, Hereford, was remanded in custody.

He will appear before Worcester Crown Court for sentencing on December 15.
