ONE Herefordshire local has taken his apology to his other half to a new level with a sweet notice in this week's paper.
The guilt was clearly weighing heavily on the shoulders of the man, named only as Louis, after he committed the cardinal sin of using ingredients reserved for another purpose.
As any home cook will know, there is nothing more annoying in the kitchen than finding the essential item you need (especially while halfway through a recipe you had been planning to make!) has disappeared from the cupboards or the fridge.
But, it appears, that is exactly what happened to Louis' presumed other half.
The notice, in the Personal Messages section of the November 30 edition of the Hereford Times reads: "Dear Isabel, I am sorry I used the leeks and potatoes that you were saving for the quiche. I know it was annoying. Love you, Louis".
We don't know whether Louis has been forgiven, but we certainly hope so.
If you are Louis or Isabel, let us know!
