AS a lover of burgers, I couldn't turn down the chance to pop into a Hereford diner and try their festive burger when I was in town.
The treat at JJs Diner & Bar in Bridge Street comes complete with chips and cranberry sauce, with a huge pig in a blanket on top.
When I made my order, I was a little nervous that I wouldn't complete it. However, I was pretty hungry and I couldn't let good food go to waste.

Choosing a table at the far end of the table, I had a chance to take in the festive décor and browse through the menus. It was the first time I had been in the diner, and was impressed with the wide choice of food and drink available at reasonable prices.
Breakfast is served all day with choices including pancakes, baps or wraps, or you can even build you own with up to five items included. The most expensive item is 'the belly buster' Full English consisting of two sausages, two bacon, two black pudding, two eggs, two hash browns, mushroom, tomato, beans and fried bread or toast for £12.
There is no less than 12 different burgers that you can choose from, with a further six vegetarian or vegan options, as well as chicken and waffles, BBQ wings and dirty fries.
There is also a designated 'little dots' play area for children - perfect for parents to take them to while they unwind. A sharing platter that serves three to four children is priced at £18.
For the past month, the diner has ensured it is part of the festive spirit, with two Christmas markets being held earlier this month.
When I visited, Christmas hits were being played and it felt like you part of the community.
The burger looked lovely when it arrived, although it did come on a small plate so there wasn't much room for manoeuvre when cutting it.
Placing the pig in a blanket on the side, I tucked into the burger. The patty was just right - I don't like the beef to be too well done, with stuffing and cranberry sauce adding to the usual trimmings you'd expect to find in a burger.
The Weiner sausage in bacon was sublime - although I would have struggled to have had another one - while I had no complaints about the fries.
I am not one to have gravy on chips so was unsure whether to pour some on. However, I wanted to see what the cranberry flavouring tasted like, and I have to say, it was really tasty.
I did struggle to finish it off - the bread became a bit too much in the end; however, I was almost done and managed to eat it all.
Having only had a hot drink shortly before my visit, I opted for a Pepsi Max to wash it down. However, their coffees and teas are very reasonably priced with a latte and cappuccino setting you back £2.70 and £2.80 respectively.
I will definitely be coming back!
